Life Story
I'm what you would call "an Army brat". I was born on February 25th, 1944 in Midland, Texas. After a little time in Midland we moved to Florida were my Father completed his military service. Things were not going well for our family at the time. My Mother and Father separated and were later divorced. After the divorce was completed my Mother and I moved back to Dallas. We lived with my grandparents until my Mother re-married.
I attended High School at Lancaster, Texas the home of the Tigers. After completing high school I joined the Air Force. During the Vietnam War I was assigned to Germany and served in the 2nd Mobil Communication Group. Our group traveled a lot during this time working with animal space missions and assisting with their reentry. I was able to see a lot of different countries during my few years. As they use to say "join the service and see the world" and believe me I did. After I was discharged I returned home to Lancaster Texas.
In 2002 I went to the hospital to visit a friend and the good Lord let me meet one of my classmate from 1963. Her name was Betty Garrison. We started dating, and soon after we were married at the old Cornerstone Bible Church location by Pastor Don. My life has been great being a servant at Cornerstone Bible Church as a deacon and now as an elder, and I look forward to all of the plans that God still has for us both.
Hope for Cornerstone Bible Church
My hope for Cornerstone Bible Church is that we grow in attendance while reaching out to the community. To train more leaders to help serve in the church. I pray that God will continue to bless us with a larger congregation that loves the Lord and obeys His Word and with more missionaries to support.
